Pennies Do Add Up

Do you remember the movie starring Richard Pryor where he played a computer programmer who wrote a program that would deposit the pennies from his co-worker’s account into his account? Well, he earned a tidy sum from doing this.

No, I’m not advocating what he did, I'm just using it to illustrate the multiplying power of a penny. The idea here is to find as many of these pennies as you can and get others to help you to find more.

I was trying to explain a similar concept to my brother the other day and he said that it was just another pyramid scheme. I thought about it and later I realized that everything in life is like a pyramid scheme. For instance, advertisers advertise their products hoping that someone will buy it, like it and recommend it to their friends and family. The only thing with this scenario is that you don’t get paid by the advertisers for promoting their product.

It seems as though someone else realized the profitability of this concept and came up with the idea of paying people a penny to view advertisers' websites, the paid to click phenomenon was born. The advertisers hopefully gain new customers, they then pay the website owners, then the website owners share the wealth with potential customers. Win, win, win.

Below are some of the sites that I use most often.
